Whether it's the eyes, the whiskers, or the gorgeous coat - every animal brings a special something to their photo series. Pet photography brings with it many challenges! The animals are definitely in charge and I love focusing on their innate behaviors. The process is different for every family and each photo session produces a new variety of photos. I strive to capture their wonderful personalities for you to look back at fondly as cherished memories for all time.

About Me

MY NAME IS SASKIA

I'm an Athens based photographer focused on bringing out the details that make life special. In the last few years I've been photographing pets in a studio setting and really enjoy capturing their various expressions with simple surroundings. My over 20 years of experience working with animals has given me an ability to read animal behavior and provide them with the most comfortable surroundings in which to blossom. My goal is to provide a unique and enjoyable experience for the entire family, as well as quality images that provide you with endless joy.

My husband and I share five wonderfully quirky furry friends.

Ari.

Hyperactive, slightly neurotic, but ultimately sweet and loving - Ari came with me to Athens from Grand Cayman Island and has been a loyal friend though many phases of my life.

Rocko.

What can I say about this guy? Passionate about orange tabby cats and food, Rocko is a classic couch potato who loves being with family. Rocko was found after having been hit by a car, and his owners chose not to claim him. Their loss was definitely our gain!

Olive.

This energetic girl was found as a puppy in a ditch, and has been a source of entertainment and snuggles ever since. A classic tomboy, she loves to play catch and chase pretty much everything. She greets every new visitor with a toy and a smile.

Cash.

Personality doesn't describe what this guy has...whatever it is, it's strong and feisty! Cash came to us from a family member who couldn't care for him at the time and has remained a slightly cranky and occasionally loving part of this family ever since.

Clementine.

Sweet Clementine was a patient at the veterinary hospital in need of a surgery and a new beginning. She has since tucked herself into our lives and home, and spends her time kneading biscuits and keeping Cash on his toes.

MY PROMISE

Each animal has their own personality, and that is what I strive to document in my images.

Please expect to spend some time at the beginning of your session allowing me to get to know your pet before we start shooting. I want to make this as fun and happy of an experience as possible for you and your furry friend!

Working with animals is never boring and anything can and will happen. That being said I will do my best to accommodate requests for certain types of photos, however the end results of our session will be completely reliant upon our furry subject and their participation.
